As we shared with you last month, Google recently launched a new algorithm for its mobile search rankings favoring sites that are deemed “mobile-friendly.” Being found on a mobile search is critical when you consider that 60% of Americans now use their mobile phones or tablets – instead of desktops – to do online research before making a local purchase.
As we let you know at the time via this blog there is no need to worry about Google’s ‘Mobilegeddon’ if you’re a Yodle client. Yodle adversites are designed to be mobile-friendly. Our product and development teams were also conducting numerous tests ahead of the new algorithm changes to make sure we were ready for the changes.
For those of you currently not working with Yodle I recommend that you read this article by Yodle CEO Court Cunningham that Forbes published last week.
The piece titled “Can Your Business Survive Google’s ‘Mobilegeddon’?” includes a number of tips on what to do to overcome this phenomenon. Here’s a direct link to the article: http://www.forbes.com/sites/groupthink/2015/05/15/can-your-business-survive-googles-mobile-geddon/.
